Speech Therapy Session #1
Gianna's first speech therapy session was yesterday morning. It went very well! The therapist is using cued speech symbols to help her learn the hard consonant sounds. We are starting to use them at home to help her speech sessions progress. She picked up on the sounds very quickly so that was good news. Her tongue is pushed forward in her mouth from the pacifier use but that should go away now that she isn't using it. Her accomplishments for the day were that she waved and said "BYE" when daddy was leaving. And she said milk with the 'mm' sound. Dave and I are trying our best to get her to talk to us when she wants something. Hearing her progress already is such a joy!
