Gianna's 1st Day of Preschool

Gianna's 1st day of preschool was TODAY! As you may have noticed, we are at home. We decided to homeschool her for this first year of preschool. Very ambitious, I know! Especially since I have 2 other babies with me. But we made it thru the morning well & I'm still excited to be able to do this. We are going to try a Tuesday/Thursday schedule & if she does really well, I might add another day.
This is right after breakfast.
8am - Breakfast
8:30 to 8:45 - Circle Time includes morning prayer, bible lesson & story, story time & review of lessons for the day.
8:45 to 10:00 - Learning Time includes letter of the week, number of the week and shapes & colors on alternating weeks. We'll also be learning a bible story every week & associating it with the letter of the week. Today we read about Adam & Eve and angels.
Letter of the Week is A. Gianna is coloring her letter to put up on the board.

Here she is learning to trace the letter A in shaving cream. Lots of fun!
We also learned the square shape. We did some worksheets on that shape & then went on a scavenger hunt thru the house looking for square things.
10:00 to 10:30 - Art Project Time
Today's project was to make an angel for the letter A. We traced her feet for the body & hands for the wings. Then printed a picture of her & cut it out for the face.
10:30 to 10:45 - Free Play Time includes play-doh, coloring, cutting, etc. all associated with the letter of the week, shapes, colors, numbers or bible story.
10:45 to 11:00 - Music Time includes singing & dancing to kid songs. (This happens every day in our house.)
11:00 to 11:30 - Outside Time
11:30 - Lunch
This kids are all exhausted & are now taking naps. I think Mommy needs one too!
